Sure each month when my ovaries and the lining of my uterus decide to come for me with all sorts of rage, I curse them, but the other 25 days of the month I am pretty enthralled with being a woman. I mean there is nothing better than being a woman, nothing…we get to do, feel, and say the coolest things.

So that I won’t forget this moment and so that I have something to read when my overies stage their monthly coup, I made a list of why being a woman is EVERYTHING!

1. We live longer.
2. We birth humans.
3. We have higher pain tolerance (see #2).
4. We can fake orgasms.
5. We can have MULTIPLE ORGASMS…all by ourselves if we choose.
6. We can adjust our height (kitten heels, pumps, stilettos).
7. Speaking of shoes…we have better shoes.
8. We are transformers (what you didn’t know)…thanks to make-up and hair extensions I can be ME on Monday and HER on Saturday.
9. Two words – Chanel…Diamonds (both made especially for women).
10. We have memories like elephants. Try us.
11. We keep the big industries of beauty, fashion and fitness running.
12. We cry and no one makes fun of us.
13. We smell good.
14. We give good hugs.
15. We can go to the bathroom in groups and no one thinks it’s weird.
16. We pee sitting down and in private stalls.
17. By the time we’re 30 we would have had more “girlfriends” than the average Joe.
18. We can blame everything (mood swings, car accidents, cat fights, etc) on our periods.
19. Speaking of periods…we can have a period every month or a few times a year (oh the power of hormonal conception).
20. Again back to periods: two words if uttered by a woman can make a man cry, stop breathing or both – “I’m late.”
21. We have this amazing thing called intuition (man speak: “spidey senses”).
22. We have Scandal (yes, Shonda made this just for us!)
23. We have wine. Jesus made it for us…at that wedding remember.
24. We start shit sometimes….but
25. We are generally referred to as the “gentler sex.”
26. Speaking of sex (the other definition)…we can seriously get some whenever, wherever we want…like who turns down free V.
27. We have a whole month and a whole day dedicated to our awesomeness.
28. We get free stuff…free drinks, free dinners, free dates, free gifts….you get the point.
29. We love falling in love…in fact, no one falls in love better than a woman.
30. We read better books and write the best books.
31. We never get lost. We ask for help.
32. We multi-task and multi…(see #5).
33. We have our own language…words and phrases like EVERYTHING..TRIED IT….AIN’T NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THAT…have multiple meanings and can be used in a variety of settings.
